The awards event was held at The Victorian State Library on Friday the 10th of April,2015. It is the second reinvigorated/relaunched comics awards to recognise the talent of Australian comics artists and contributors.

‘Fully independent and run as a not-for-profit annual event, they are named after the pioneering Australian cartoonist Peter Ledger (1945 – 1994).’
The Ledgers are: ‘A fully independent and non-profit initiative to acknowledge and promote excellence in Australian comic art and publishing.’

John Ryan ‘The late John Ryan (1931-1979) was a passionate Australian Comic Historian or ‘Panelologist’, as he liked to be called.
