White knight buys Astor cinema.
Zak talks about the “alchemy of the double feature”, keeping it as a single screen cinema, the challenges that have been met, and ones to be faced, and the re-opening from Sunday 7th of June !
Zak’s passion is infectious and engaging as he talks about many of “Astor Theatre favourites” movies the cinema is known for playing, rare editions of classic movies and now returning some of them to the big screen and keeping the Art Deco flavour ( and choc tops) alive !!
Also will there be another Astor Cat now that Marzipan is gone ? But PLEASE don’t leave a stray cat on the doorsteps!
